Convert your bank statement
PDF to CSV — privately
Drop in a statement, get a clean spreadsheet. StatementHarbor runs entirely in your browser, so your bank details never touch anyone's server. Not even ours.
Your file stays on your computer. This converter has no upload button because there is no server to upload to. Accountants and bookkeepers use it for client statements for exactly this reason.

Check a few rows against your statement before importing into QuickBooks or Excel — every parser benefits from a quick human glance.
Three steps, under a minute
Download your statement
From your bank's website or app, save the monthly statement as a PDF. The guides show where the download hides for each major bank.
Drop it in above
The file is read by your own browser. Watch the status line — it says "locally" because that is literally where the work happens.
Export and import
Download a CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, or a QBO file that QuickBooks Online imports directly. Then reuse it for every month after.
Why we built a converter with no upload button
Bank statements are among the most sensitive documents most people own. They show where you live, where you shop, what you earn, and — for a bookkeeper — the same for every client on your desk. Yet every other converter we could find asks you to hand that document to a stranger's server, trust an unknown privacy policy, and hope the file is deleted later.
We thought that was backwards. Modern browsers can read PDFs on their own, so we built the parser to run where the file already is: on your machine. There is no account to create because there is no server to store anything. There are no page limits because converting costs us nothing.
If a statement doesn't parse cleanly, that's our bug to fix — tell us which bank and we'll improve the format handling.
Which banks are supported?
The parser works on the transaction table itself, so most text-based statement PDFs convert regardless of bank. These step-by-step pages cover the banks people ask about most:
Frequently asked questions
How can I convert my bank statement from PDF to CSV?
Download the statement PDF from your bank's website, drop it into the converter at the top of this page, and click Download CSV. You'll get a spreadsheet with date, description, amount, and balance columns that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.
Is it safe to convert a bank statement online?
With StatementHarbor, yes — the PDF is parsed by JavaScript running on your own device and is never uploaded to any server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the converter keeps working. That is the strongest privacy guarantee available: nothing leaves because nothing is sent anywhere.
Is StatementHarbor really free?
Yes. No page limits, no signup, no watermarks, no "free trial". Conversions run on your computer, so they cost us nothing to process — there's simply nothing to charge for.
Does it work with scanned statements?
Text-based PDFs — the kind you download from online banking — convert cleanly. Scanned paper statements are images inside a PDF wrapper and need OCR, which is on the roadmap. Try yours; if it has selectable text, it will parse.
Can I import the result into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Export QBO for QuickBooks Online's direct import, or CSV and map the columns during Xero's import flow. The guides section walks through both.
